Assessment is an essential component when teaching FMS. It allows the teacher to determine what level the students are achieving at and can help the teacher to be aware of what the students' are capable of. Assessment provides parents and caregivers with evidence of student's performance as the teacher will assess them based on what they are able to demonstrate and areas where they may need to improve.
A variety of assessments should be used to gain a better understanding. Some methods of assessment can include:
~Rubric / Checklist
~Anecdotal Records
~Teacher Observation
~Video
Assessment is also important so that you can answer "what is my child capable of and how is he/she doing?" when parents ask.
